AI Project Management Tools: the best in 2024

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to reshape the landscape of project management, it’s crucial to stay ahead of the game with the most effective tools. In 2023, AI tools for project management are becoming more advanced, efficient, and capable than ever before in handling complex tasks and large data volumes. This blog post will guide you through the top AI project management tools that are making waves this year. Incorporating these into your workflow could be the key to taking your project management efficiencies to uncharted territories.

1. Zenhub AI (Beta)

Zenhub is a project management platform purpose-built for everyone involved in the software development process. It allows developers to manage and update project status close to their codebase and enables comprehensive reporting and tracking for project managers and product owners.

Zenhub recently launched the Beta version of its AI experiences, which includes AI-generated labels for improved data hygiene. Upcoming AI features include AI story point estimations, project prioritization, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

What AI is used in Zenhub?

Currently, Zenhub labels use OpenAI’s GPT-3 language processing model. We’re experimenting with other AI models to enable various AI-enabled functionality in our product. Learn more here.

What AI features are in Zenhub?

  • AI-generated GitHub Issue & Zenhub Issue labels
  • AI Sprint Insights & Recommendations
  • See what’s coming soon here.

Is AI included in Zenhub’s pricing?

Yes. Zenhub’s pricing is very straightforward – you just pay per seat. Check it out here.

2. Notion

Notion is a documentation-turned-project management tool, so it’s no surprise that its AI strengths lie in its ability to generate documentation faster, more concisely, and with fewer grammar errors. In fact, on its AI pricing table, Notion AI positions itself directly against the likes of ChatGPT Plus, JasperAI, and Grammarly. So, when considering NotionAI, you may want to pin it up against these other AI generative text tools (which you may also be using) rather than your standard project management tools.

However, documentation is a large part of project management, so if your team requires some help cleaning up documents (e.g. creating meeting summaries and action items), NotionAI may be a good option.

What AI is used in Notion?

Notion uses OpenAI’s GPT-3 language processing model.

What AI features are in Notion?

  • Generate text such as blog outlines, meeting summaries, action items, takeaways, basic idea generation, tables, etc.
  • Request AI-text rewrites, translations, and other edits.

Is AI included in Notion’s pricing?

Notion AI’s pricing is $10 per seat (free subscribers) and is not included in Notion’s regular pricing model. For paid Notion subscribers, Notion AI is $8 per seat (which is in addition to the $8-15 per seat base Notion subscription).

3. ClickUp

ClickUp is a project management app that keeps work in one place. ClickUp has features like Projects and Tasks for tracking, Goals for helping your team stay on target, and Chat View to keep your team in touch. ClickUp AI’s functionality is based on creating and improving documentation and creative content with prompts, which are pre-built for each department.

ClickUp AI may be a good option if you’re looking for support with writing within a project management tool.

What AI is used in ClickUp?

Clickup currently uses a combination of ChatGPT 3.5 and 4 language processing models.

What AI features are in ClickUp?

  • Generate text such as sales emails, blogs, project briefs, and more.
  • Request summaries of existing content and task lists.

Is AI included in ClickUps’s pricing?

Click Up’s AI pricing is an additional $5 per member, which is in addition to its $7-12 per seat pricing (AI is not included in ClickUps’s base product).

4. Asana

Asana’s AI tool, called Asana Intelligence, is designed to help teams make better decisions more quickly. Some key features of Asana Intelligence are resource management, health checks, self-optimizing workflows, and a writing assistant.

Monday’s AI capability is called the Monday AI assistant and is currently only available in a beta version for certain users.
