Back then, we had a pretty simple mission: help developers stop switching between tools so they can focus on what they do best–building great software. Today, we’re taking a big step to further that mission, not just for developers but for everyone who touches the software development process. And we are so excited to share it with you. We’ve been working hard on a shiny new Slack integration, and it’s more than just a minor update. It’s a major leap forward regarding how (and where) teams interact with Zenhub. So, why’s this new integration a game-changer? Just like us over here at Zenhub, we bet you’re practically living on Slack during the workday. It’s the go-to spot for all things collaboration, right? Well, we want Zenhub to hang out there, too, seamlessly integrating into your workflow without missing a beat. Our new integration will do just that, allowing teams to interact with (and update) Zenhub without ever leaving their Slack workspace. More importantly, it will allow anyone on the team to comment and collaborate on Issues—even if they don’t have a Zenhub license. Here’s just a small sample of what you’ll be able to do in the first version of Zenhub’s Slack integration: Create a new Issue directly from Slack using the /zenhub-issue command. Comment in a Slack thread, and that comment will be added to the Zenhub Issue. Comment on a Zenhub issue, and that comment will be posted back to Slack. In the future, we plan to build out even more functionality that could enable teams to do things like check in on sprint progress via our sprint reports or pull Daily Feeds directly into a Slack channel. Imagine complete visibility into projects without ever leaving Slack. Get access to the beta version of Zenhub for Slack We’re still in the early stages of development, and that’s where you come in. We’re looking for teams who are as excited about this new feature as we are and are willing to get hands-on with our beta version and provide honest feedback as we continue to build. If you’re interested in getting early access and helping us shape the future of our Slack integration, sign up for access here: We’re thrilled about the possibilities of this new integration and can’t wait for you to experience it. Stay tuned for more updates from our product team soon, and as always, thank you for being a part of the Zenhub community. Share this article New Work smarter, not harder.
